We would like to say well done to all the entrants to our Easter egg competition on Friday 5 April. As always the standard was ‘eggstremely’ high! We hope the winners enjoyed their chocolate treats.
Class 2 visit to Gilside Cottage and Farm
Class 2 had a lovely day at Gilside Cottage and Farm on Thursday 4 April. They would like to thank Mrs Gilson for making them feel so welcome.
NSPCC’s ‘Speak out. Stay safe.’ programme
We would like to thank the NSPCC and Buddy the mascot for visiting us on Wednesday 3 April. They delivered age-appropriate assemblies about staying safe from abuse and neglect to the infants (Class 1 & Class 2) and the juniors (Class 3 & Class 4), followed by a workshop for Class 4. The children were taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or Childline.
High 5 netball
Congratulations to our Y5/6 netball team for their performance at Whitworth Park Academy on Tuesday 2 April. They achieved 3rd place and were delighted to receive bronze medals.
Easter workshops
Many thanks to Reverend Friswell and Reverend Titterton for visiting us on Tuesday 26 March. They led a range of age-appropriate Easter-related activities for every class which encouraged the children think more deeply about this important time for Christians.
