Contact tracing after end of term
Reporting symptoms after school closes for Christmas Holidays
Byers Green Primary School will close on Friday 18 December at 3:15pm. If your child develops symptoms of coronavirus at any point over the Christmas Holidays you must book a test.
If your child develops symptoms up to and including Sunday 20 December which result in a positive test up to Thursday 24 December you must inform the school at byersgreen@durhamlearning.net.
Please include the name of your child, their class and the date that their symptoms started, as well as your own contact details.
If your child develops coronavirus symptoms from Monday 21 December onwards, they must be tested and, if positive, follow the advice of Test and Trace. You do not need to inform the school of any symptoms which occur on or after this date.
The Magical Christmas Jigsaw
Unfortunately, we have been unable to host our usual Christmas performances in school this year. Although nothing can replace the experience of seeing the infant nativity or the junior show live and in person, we recognised it was important to mark this important tradition in some way. Therefore, working within the current coronavirus restrictions, we have put together contributions from each class to create a whole school performance of The Magical Christmas Jigsaw. We hope you enjoy it!
Tier 3 (Very High Alert) from 2 December
From Wednesday 2 December, England will move into local restriction tiers where different tiers of restrictions apply in different parts of the country.
Please see the poster below for further information about Tier 3 (Very High Alert) which applies to the Durham County Council area.
