Deciding which school your child attends is very important.  At Byers Green Primary School we believe parents should have all the information available to assist them in their choice. We are pleased to provide brocures to assist parents in deciding school choice and how to begin their application. These can be accessed below. 

A link is also provided for advice about parental School Choice. This is an independent service which helps and supports families to make the most informed and realistic choice of school.

Extended services is about providing services for familes such as Childcare, Parental Support, Adult Learning, activities for children and access to specialist services.

Byers Green Primary School have recently supported IT Support Services (Durham County Council) who won the ICT Excellence award (2008) for supporting schools in the county by emphasising quality assurance and successfully building excellent relationships with its schools.

Byers Green staff and children were proud to be asked to be included in a video showing how ITSS can assist and support schools in the local area. The school have excellent facilities, resources, staff and children and this was shown in the video.

 Remember the rules for when you are using the interet - think SMART

We will be advising children about the dangers of using the internet in school and at home. This will run in conjunction with the 'Think U Know' website run by CEOP.

Byers Green Primary School gives access to free screenings of recent films through the support of FILMCLUB who provide free films! These are screened every Tuesday after school from 3.15-4.30 (unless notified of change). At present this is open to year 5 and 6 children in the school hall.
